UG - Design: There are two tests in
the first stage of the UG (Design) entrance exam :
GAT - General Ability Test
This is a 2 hour, 100 question, multiple chocie questions
test covering Quantitative Ability; Communication Ability;
English Comprehension; Analytical Ability; Business
Domain Test; Thematic Apperception Test
CAT - Creative Ability Test
A 3 hour, 100 mark test, administered to judge the skill,
power of observation, innovation and design ability
of the candidate. An important aspect of the test is
the candidate's use of colour and illustration.
The shortlisted candidates in the written test will
be invited for Situation Test, at designated centres
only. Situation Test assesses the candidates' "hands
on" ability with material provided to them.
UG - Fashion Technology: There are two tests
in the first stage of the UG (Fashion Technology) entrance
exam.
GAT - General Ability Test
This is a 2 hour, 100 question, multiple chocie questions
test covering Quantitative Ability; Communication Ability;
English Comprehension; Analytical Ability; General Science.
Physics & Chemistry; Thematic Apperception Test
MAT - Managerial Ability Test
This is a 2 hour, 100 question, multiple choice questions
test, to judge the managerial effectiveness and inter
personnel skill of the candidates. This test comprises
the following sub-tests: Case Study; General Knowledge;
Logical Ability
The shortlisted candidates in the written test will
be invited for Group Discussion (GD) and personal interview
at designed centres only.
